The meeting was also attended by defence ministers from other EU candidates and representatives of NATO countries which are not EU members (Macedonia, Turkey, Iceland and Norway).
The purpose of the meeting was to inform the ministers about the content and conclusions of the meeting of EU defence ministers on March 1-2.
As for EU military and civil missions, the meeting discussed the planned reduction of EU forces in Bosnia-Herzegovina in light of the significant improvement of the security situation in the country.
The meeting also discussed a new mission in Kosovo that would have restricted executive and corrective powers in the field of inter-ethnic crimes, war crimes, corruption and organised crime.
Minister Roncevic said Croatia strongly supported international missions in Southeast Europe and welcomed the EU's stronger involvement in Kosovo.
Roncevic also informed the meeting about the pace of the reform of the Croatian army and plans to increase Croatia's engagement in UN and ISAF international peace missions.
The Croatian ministry of defence has been taking part in EU Troika meetings since November 2004.
Roncevic also held bilateral talks with Macedonian Defence Minister Lazar Elenovski and the German parliamentary state secretary, Christian Schmidt.
