"The Serbian Assembly sincerely apologises and expresses its deepest condolences to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide and their families and to all citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina who were victims of crimes committed in our name," reads the declaration drafted by the LDP.
"Serbia will take all necessary measures and promptly act on all instructions from the ICJ ruling and arrest all indictees" of the Hague war crimes tribunal, the draft declaration reads.
The coalition, which apart from the LDP consists of the Civil Alliance of Serbia of Natasa Micic, the Social Democratic Union of Zarko Korac, and the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina of Nenad Canak, will not support a declaration condemning all crimes, because that would "downplay the crimes", Jovanovic said.
He added that the adoption of the declaration drafted by his party was an opportunity for all, who in their advocacy of keeping Kosovo part of Serbia were citing international law, to show how ready they were to apply international law.
The party will launch an initiative to collect at least 15,000 signatures, which is how many votes are necessary for the declaration to be discussed in parliament.
After the ICJ published its ruling in Bosnia's genocide lawsuit against Serbia on Monday, Serbian President Boris Tadic called on the Serbian parliament to adopt a declaration condemning the Srebrenica genocide. Such a declaration is opposed by the Serb Radical Party, the Socialist Party of Serbia, and the Democratic Party of Serbia of the incumbent PM Vojislav Kostunica. The parties have said they will support the declaration only if it condemns all crimes.
