ZAGREB, Feb 9 (Hina) - Representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and officials of three counties, Lika-Senj, Zadar and Sibenik-Knin, on Friday agreed on the financing of the first cycle of projects within the
UNDP's Life programme aimed at the social and economic recovery of formerly war-stricken areas.
ZAGREB, Feb 9 (Hina) - Representatives of the United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP) and officials of three counties, Lika-Senj, Zadar
and Sibenik-Knin, on Friday agreed on the financing of the first cycle of
projects within the UNDP's Life programme aimed at the social and economic
recovery of formerly war-stricken areas. Most of the approved
projects, worth 1.03 million US dollars, refer to the reconstruction of the
local infrastructure.
Donors will ensure USD 593,000 and local authorities are expected to
participate in the financing.
The main donors are the Norwegian and Dutch governments, apart from the
UNDP.
