According to preliminary figures released by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday, Croatia exported USD 10.37 billion worth of commodities last year, or 1.6 billion more than the previous year, while at the same time its imports amounted to USD 21.49 billion, or 2.9 billion more than in 2005.
The trade deficit was USD 11.1 billion, which was an increase of 1.3 billion or 13.5 per cent from 2005.
Expressed in the domestic currency, last year's exports amounted to 60.4 billion kuna, up 15.6 per cent compared to the year before, while imports went up 13.3 per cent to reach 125.2 billion kuna.
