The seminar on how to do business with Chinese business partners was organised by the Croatian Chamber of the Economy.
The main condition for balancing Croatian-Chinese trade is getting to know one another better, said Zhenglong, calling on Croatian business people to explore the conditions in China.
He underlined that the Chinese market was huge, open and without restrictions for Croatian companies, and added that Croatia was China's chief economic partner on the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
According to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, Croatia-China trade in 2005 was USD882.33 million. Croatian exports were USD9.03 million, while imports were 873.3 million, with the Croatian deficit amounting to 864.26 million. In last year's first 11 months, the deficit went up to USD1.02 billion.
