BANJA LUKA, Jan 3 (Hina) - Former Croatian consul to Banja Luka Ivan Lepoglavec is fourth on the list of "People 2006" in Bosnia-Herzegovina compiled by Nezavisne Novine, the Banja Luka-based daily published on its web site, describing Lepoglavec as "the consul who revived the torn ties".

The daily said that representatives of all peoples and national minorities stressed that Lepoglavec "is a man who contributed to the stabilisation and development of inter-ethnic relations, the return of refugees and displaced persons and their integration with the society, and promoted tolerance and muti-culture". The daily also stressed Lepoglavec's efforts invested in the promotion of Croatia-Bosnia relations.

The five-year mandate of the first Croatian consul general to Bosnia ended on 1 December 2006 in Banja Luka.

Also on the list are Bosnian Serb Prime Minister Milorad Dodik, Bosnian State Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Mirsad Kebo and film director Jasmina Zbanic, who won the Golden Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival for her movie Grbavica.
