Jasarevic fired about 100 rounds at the building, gravelly injuring a police officer.
The maximum penalty for such crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina is 20 years' imprisonment. The State Court gave him 15 years, finding that he genuinely repented for his crime during trial.
Today's verdict cannot be appealed.
The sentence was handed down in a retrial held after the defence appealed the first verdict which sentenced Jasarevic to 18 years' imprisonment and after it was found that he had not been provided with an appropriate defence.
