Josipovic welcomed the beginning of dialogue which enables the solving of outstanding issues in relations between Iran and the international community, and praised the encouraging statements of Iran's senior officials who have shown willingness for open dialogue that could lead to swift and mutually acceptable solutions, the press release said.
Josipovic and Larijani were agreed that it is necessary to respect international commitments regarding the use of nuclear energy and the fight against terrorism.
Building confidence and a policy of peace and cooperation are the only way to preserve peace and security in the world, Josipovic said, adding that the progress in relations with the international community was crucial for Croatian-Iranian relations, notably in the economy.
By meeting with Josipovic, Larijani wrapped up his two-day official visit to Croatia during which he had also held talks with Parliament Speaker Josip Leko and Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic.
