Cvetkovic was extradited in mid-August. He was arrested in April 2010 on an international warrant on suspicion that he took part in attacks on the UN-protected zone in eastern Bosnia and the execution of hundreds of Bosniak men.
The state prosecutor said in a statement that up to 40,000 Bosniak civilians were driven out of Srebrenica in June and July 1995 and that more than 8,000 Bosniak boys and men were executed.
Cvetkovic is charged with participating in two attacks and later, with other Serb soldiers, in the execution of prisoners in groups of up to ten at the Branjevo farm. At least 900 Bosniak boys and men aged 15-84 were killed in this way.
