He said SIPA agents were collecting documents at his ministry at the request of the Bosnian Council of Ministers.
The EUR 25 million bridge construction was landed by the Austrian company Strabag and works were supposed to begin in mid-2012, but did not because Bosnia and Croatia did not secure the required documentation. This prompted Strabag to ask that the contract be cancelled and EUR 2.5 million in damages.
A joint commission of the Croatian and Bosnian governments then drew up a proposal to pay Strabag EUR 600,000 each.
The deadlines have not been honoured and those involved should be held to account, Hadzic said, adding that disciplinary action had been taken but that he would not prejudge if they would be held criminally accountable too.
