"Both Croatia and Greece are European Union members, so regulations are much simpler than before, but one should consider cost-effectivness and discuss this with Jadrolinija's leaders," Baldasar told reporters after meeting with Greek Ambassador Elena Gerokostopoulou and the commander of the Greek Navy ship HS Ikaria, Captain Christos Gergoulas.
The ship with 140 cadets is visiting the southern Croatian seaport as part of the Greek Navy's summer training.
"We are proud of our Navy, which has always played an essential part in the glorious history of our country and helped Greece maintain its independence," said the ambassador.
This visit "opens the door to cooperation in all areas between the two friendly countries," she added.
