ZAGREB, Aug 17
(Hina) - An non-governmental group - Action for a
better Croatia (ABH) on Saturday sent a protest letter to Interior
Minister Ranko Ostojic regarding several incidents by Serb supporters
at a basket ball match held in the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar
between Serbia and Greece. ABH notes that while the Croatian police
talks about co-existence and tolerance at the same time it allows
incidents based on ethnic hatred and has not acted to prevent or stop
this behaviour which is considered to be impermissible. If similar
incidents are repeated and the perpetrators are not punished ABH
considers that Minister Ostojic should step down because the ministry
he is responsible for does not act the same toward all Croatian
citizens.
