In a firmer merino fleece market, 19/24 microns were 1.0 percent dearer, while 20/21m was slightly dearer and 22m was 0.5 percent dearer. The 21/22m were generally unchanged. In merino skirtings 19/20m were 1.0 percent cheaper and 21/22m were generally unchanged. In crossbreds, 27/28/29m were 0.5 percent dearer, 30m was unchanged and 31m slightly dearer. In cardings, lambs and locks were slightly cheaper. Crutchings were generally unchanged. WI said most interest came from Japan and Western Europe with support from most other sectors. Of 22,235 bales offered in Sydney and Melbourne, 12.9 percent was passed in. Sales continue on Thursday in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle, with about 40,000 bales to be offered. _________________________________________________________________ Bradford - cijene vune - 07. listopada 1996. cijene u penijima/kg _________________________________________________________________ MERINO CROSSBRED 70s SUPER 505 58s SUPER 370 66s SUPER 446 58s BLENDED 348 64s SUPER 405 56s SUPER 360 64s BLENDED 403 54s CARDED 342 60s SUPER 379 50s CARDED 331 60s BLENDED 358 58s ENGLISH 275 56s ENGLISH 265 50s ENGLISH 261 Bradford wool market easier in subdued trade BRADFORD, Oct 7 (Reuter) - Brokers reported little buying interest and few firm trades in the Bradford wool market on Monday. Most prices were steady to easier with English all down six pence per kg. Market sources attributed the lack of activity to the schedule of large offerings in key overseas markets beginning this week and set to keep prices low in buyers favour. Limited buying from Italy in the market for finer tops is subduing hopes of a merino-led recovery, they said. Some topmakers still expect improved demand demand between November and the end of the year but others are less bullish, noting poor business confidence in the UK retail market for woollen products. 101058 MET oct 96
