Industry sources said mills in various parts of Europe have continued to enquire cautiously for cotton to cover their foreseeable requirements over the next few months. The adverse harvest-time weather prevailing recently in several countries has failed radically to alter spinners' approach to fresh business, but has engendered a degree of caution amongst trade sellers. Central Asian styles have remained in demand on several markets, and Italian mills have purchased some small quantities of greek cotton, the sources said. 301049 MET sep 96
