Traders reported little activity on a thin market. "The holiday season will end soon and maybe currencies will settle down, but in the meantime all we can do is sit and wait," said a trader. At the close of business Dutch soy oil sellers were 1.50 to 0.75 guilders down on a tradeless market. Dutch/EU rape oil finished one to 1.25 guilders off after Nov/Jan fetched 105.50 guilders per 100 kg fob ex-mill. In the palm oil sector only one trade was reported when Sept olein fetched $530 a tonne fob Malaysian ports. At the close crude palm oil cif Europe was unchanged to $5 down while products were unchanged to $2.50 lower.
