There have been reports of fresh business after a long period of dearth and traders generally appear more willing to sell, having held back to take advantage of supply troubles, they said. Turkey led the way with several sources reporting sales to Turkish mills after early evidence that December's increase in consumer prices is set to continue. "A range of origins is said to have changed hands, including some U.S. descriptions," one informed source said, but no further details were available. Traders said business in some markets, notably those celebrating the feast of the Epiphany on Monday, had yet to return to normal business after the holiday period. 081022 MET jan 97
