Police commissioner Zeljko Stojnic said two young people from Banja Luka were also involved in the incident. He said the two Austrians appeared to be drunk, adding that they were questioned at the police station but were not arrested because they had immunity from prosecution.
EUFOR said in a statement two of its Austrian members were involved in the incident and that an investigation would be carried out.
According to the media, the incident occurred after 4 am in downtown Banja Luka when the two EUFOR members assaulted a local girl. A local man came to her aid. He was not injured.
