THE HAGUE, May 12
(Hina) - The defence team for the Bosnian Serb
wartime military leader Ratko Mladic, charged with genocide by the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, has
requested the exemption of the Dutch judge Alphons Orie, who presides
over the trial chamber in the Mladic case, and the postponement of
the start of the trial, scheduled for Wednesday, 16 May, the ICTY
reported on Saturday.
