Karadzic also requested tapes of wiretapped conversations from 1991-95 involving former or current Bosnian officials Alija Izetbegovic, Ejup Ganic, Hasan Cengic, Bakir Izetbegovic or Omer Behmen.
In a written request to the head of the Croatian Justice Ministry office for cooperation with international courts, Gordan Markotic, Karadzic said Croatia had submitted a collection of wiretapped conversations of Serb leaders and that such tapes of conversations of Bosnian Muslim leaders would enable him to show that Bosnian Muslims had committed crimes and blamed them on Serbs to provoke an international intervention to their benefit.
Abdic was tried in Croatia in 2003 and Karadzic said he wanted those recordings and transcripts to prepare his defence as well as that he was considering calling Abdic as a witness.
