SATURDAY'S REPORT ON BATTLEFIELDS OF HERZEG-BOSNIA

MOSTAR, Dec 5 (Hina) - The Serb aggressors carried out sporadic armed provocations on the Orasje-Samac battlefield, northern Bosnia (on the right bank of the Sava River), said a report by the Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna on the situation in the crisis areas, issued last night. The Serb formations, located in Jenjici, Covic Polje and Lepenice, opened fire at the positions of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO). The members of the HVO returned fire, and no casualties among them were reported. The predominantly Moslem Bosnian Army commenced an artillery- supported infantry attack on the positions of the HVO units in the areas of Borik and Pazaric in the greater Maglaj crisis area (Central Bosnia), according to the same report. The HVO units repelled yesterday's attack. Four HVO soldiers were wounded in the fighting. The Moslem-led B-H Army attempted twice to break through the confrontation line in the areas of Buzino Brdo and Kapura on the Fojnica battlefield (Central Bosnia). These areas were hit by 25 howitzer and mortar shells in yesterday's armed assault. All the defence lines of the HVO soldiers remained in their control, said the report. The Moslem-dominated B-H Army fired ten mortar rounds at the locations of Kojsina and Orasak in the Kresevo crisis area (Central Bosnia), according to the same source. 051032 MET dec 93
