INVESTIGATION ABOUT MISSING PERSONS FROM VUKOVAR

VINKOVCI, Nov 11 (Hina) - The Office of the Mayor of Vinkovci sent an appeal at the end of June to international statesmen in order to initiate the investigation, by their political influence, about 200 missing persons from hospital in Vukovar and almost 3,000 missing after the fall of Vukovar. The Office said Thursday that the German Foreign Ministry, Norwegian Government, Otto von Habsburg and member of the Lower House of the British Parliament Nigel Jones responded to the letter. The letter addressed to Cyrus Vance, one of the first persons who entered the occupied town of Vukovar, was sent back from New York with a designation that "the receiver is unknown" and that "he is not in the UN", said the Office. 111106 MET nov 93
