ZAGREB, Dec 16 (Hina) - Malaysia's Prime Minister Mohamad Mahathir
today said the Bosnian Goverment should talk to former US President
Jimmy Carter if he decided to mediate in seeking a negotiated
settlement to the conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Speaking to a Zagreb press conference, Mahathir described as
interesting a proposal that Carter should mediate in peace talks.
He went on to say that the Bosnian Government should agree to
these talks so that the international community would not think
Sarajevo was against peace.
Mahathir said the Bosnian Government could reject any proposal
that would be contrary to its intrest.
He expressed satisfaction with the talks the Malaysian
delegation had held during its two-day visist to Zagreb with
Croatian and Bosnian senior government officials.
