NEW TENANTS BREAK INTO CROATIAN HOUSES IN TIVAT, MONTENEGRO

Autor:
TIVAT, Nov 16 (Hina) - In Tivat, Montenegro, new tenants moved by force into several houses in the ownership of the town's old Croatian families whose members are now in Croatia, the families' attorneys today. The new tenants are retired military officers, who arrived in Tivat from Slovenia and Croatia during the withdrawal of the former Yugoslav Army from the former Yugoslav republics. According to the attorneys' statements, the forceful moving in the houses was reported to the Tivat police who made the official records on this, but let the new tenants stay in the seized houses. Lawsuits against the new tenants was brought to court, but no legal proceedings could commence, because they had refused to receive summonses. The attorneys said such legal proceedings could last for years, and the new tenants counted on this. (hina) jas mms 162012 MET nov 94
