SARAJEVO, Nov 3 (Hina) - Bosnian Army troops managed to drive away
Serb forces on Mount Igman and came closer to the Lukavica-Trnovo
road linking Sarajevo to eastern Bosnia.
UN officials in Sarajevo today said that heavy fighting was
registered east of the demilitarized zone at Mt Igman in the
Proskok area yesterday.
In this episode Bosnian Army soldiers managed to drive Serbs
away and take control of the Dujmovici and Ledici villages.
Bosnian Army First Corps positions in the Krupac area remained
unchanged. The First Corps and UNPROFOR set up a joint observation
post there.
Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic said today that Bosnian
Army soldiers were not going to withdraw from Krupac, where they
controlled the road towards Trnovo, until UNPROFOR agreed to
guarantee security of the road via Mt Igman which came under Serb
attacks from the Ilidza direction.
