SARAJEVO, Oct 14, (Hina)- Bosnian President Alija Izetbegovic today
sent a letter to the leadears of the Contact Group member States
saying that his Government would not agree to talks on any form of
alterations to the peace-plan until Serbs accepted the proposed
maps.
Bosnian Foreign Minister Haris Silajdzic sent a similar letter
to the Contact Group foreign ministers saying that relations
between Bosnia and Croatia could not be used as an argument for
justifying a Bosnian Serb effort to establish a confederation with
Serbia proper.
"The Republic of Croatia has recognised Bosnia-Herzgovina and
has concluded a confederation agreement with the Bosnian State, not
with its Croat citizens," Silajdzic stressed.
"Serbia has not recognised Bosnia-Herzegovina and establishing
confederate links with Bosnian Serbs would constitute an annexation
of part of the territory of an internationally recognised State,"
he said.
