ZAGREB, Oct 8, (Hina) - Croatia's House of Representatives last
night voiced its dissatisfaction with the Security Council's
resolution 947 on the extension of the UNPROFOR mandate because it
failed to meet Parliament's conditions.
In an all-day discussion on Foreign Minister Mate Granic's
report on the circumstances under which the resolution was accepted
by the Security Council, members accepted conclusions which
confirmed their resolutions from September 23.
In that resolution they favoured an end to the UNPROFOR
mandate by January 10, 1995 unless the mandate was ammended.
Parliament received Granic's comments on the Security
Council's resolution as 'information'. The Government had until
January 10 to inform the House on its requests regarding the
resolution.
