ZAGREB, July 7 (Hina) - The Croatian Government Office for Refugees
said in a statement on Thursday that the relocation of several
thousand refugees from the Pineta tourist complex near Novigrad in
Istra, announced for tomorrow, was postponed until Wednesday, July
13, for technical reasons.
Refugees will be moved gradually to the Borozija refugee
centre near Umag. It is still not known whether their demand, that
all 1,028 of them should be accommodated in once place, would be
met.
The Pineta tourist complex is owned by two Slovene companies,
and according to an agreement with the Croatian government,
refugees were to have moved out in March.
