PODGORICA, July 6 (Hina) - The head of Croatia's office in
Belgrade, Zvonimir Markovic, held talks in Podgorica today with
the Montenegrin Prime Minister, Milo Djukanovic, and the
Montenegrin Foreign Minister Miodrag Lekic.
After the talks Zvonimir Markovic held a press conference. He
informed journalists of the meetings with Montenegrin state
officials. Their talks had revolved around the normalization of the
relations between the two countries. Markovic and Montenegrin Prime
Minister and Foreign Minister discussed in particular the question
of the border crossing at Debeli Brijeg.
Zvonimir Markovic told journalists that he and his hosts had
considered the position of Croats in Montenegro as well. According
to some statistics, about 300 Croats left Montenegro over the past
two years.
The head of Croatia's office in Belgrade, Zvonimir Markovic,
is due to visit this evening the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bar
(at the Adriatic coast).
