PULA, July 6 (Hina) - During a several-day visit to Croatia's
counties a German parliamentary delegation arrived in Istria
today. On Wednesday morning German parliamentary members visited
the town of Porec and met the mayor of the town, Stevo Zufic, the
Porec-Pula Archbishop, Msgr. Anton Bogetic and the president of the
Istrian Democratic Union, Ivan Jakovcic. Afterwards the German
delegation war received in Pula by Prefect of Istria County,
Luciano Delbianco, the chairwoman of the city council, Mirjana
Ferjancic, and other high city officials, reported the office of
the Pula mayor.
The German parliamentary members, Robert Antretter and Jutta
Tiedke, are to visit Croatian ports of Rijeka and Split.
The visit was organized by German Embassy to Croatia. The aim
of the German delegation's visit was to gain better insight into
the political situation, administration and local self-government
as well as the position of national minorities in Croatia's
counties.
