LIPIK, May 31 (Hina) - At a session on Wednesday the council of the
Lipik municipality formed a board for establishing civilian
authorities and reintegrating the liberated areas of the
municipality.
The session was attended by a Croatian minister, Ivan Majdak,
the Government's coordinator for the restoration of the civic
tolerance, Goran Dodig, the chief of the Croatian Office in
Belgrade, Zvonimir Markovic, and EU observers.
The board will consist of five members, two of whom should be
of Serb nationality or from other minorities.
The board is to cooperate with state authorities in the Lipik
municipality and propose measures aimed at speedy adaptation of
newly-liberated areas to the state administration as well as local
self-rule.
On Monday the same decision was made by the council of the
nearby Pakrac municipality.
