PRES. TUDJMAN AWARDS DECORATIONS AHEAD OF STATEHOOD DAY

ZAGREB, May 28 (Hina) - Ahead of Croatian Statehood Day, Armed Forces Day and the 5th anniversary of Croatian independence, Croatian President Franjo Tudjman awarded decorations to Croatian army officers and officials attached to the Defence Ministry, Interior Ministry, National Security Office and President's Office. The High Order of King Petar Kresimir IV, with sash and Morning Star, was awarded to Defence Minister Gojko Susak and Staff General Janko Bobetko. The High Order of King Dmitar Zvonimir, with sash and Morning Star, was awarded to Interior Minister Ivan Jarnjak. The Order of Prince Trpimir with a collar and Morning Star was awarded to Deputy Defence Minister Josip Juras and General Antun Tus. The Order of Prince Domagoj with a collar was awarded to Ministers Susak and Jarnjak, Staff General Bobetko, Admiral Sveto Letica, General Zvonimir Cervenko and several other generals and officers. The Order of Nikola Subic Zrinski was awarded to Deputy Defence Minister Josip Juras, Gens. Ante Roso and Antun Tus, and several other generals and officers. The Order of Ban Jelacic was awarded to Staff Gen. Janko Bobetko, Admiral Sveto Letica, Gens. Ante Roso, Antun Tus, Zvonimir Cervenko and several other generals and officers. The Order of Ante Starcevic was awarded to Minister Susak and Gen. Mate Sarlija-Daidza. The Order of the Croatian Morning Star with the figure of Katarina Zrinska was awarded to Deputy Defence Minister Josip Juras. The Order of Croatian Trefoil was awarded to Minister Susak, Staff General Janko Bobetko, Admiral Sveto Letica, Gens. Ante Roso, Antun Tus and Zvonimir Cervenko and several other generals and officers. The Order of Croatian Wicker was awarded to Minister Jarnjak. The Memorial of Gratitude of the Homeland was awarded to Ministers Susak and Jarnjak, Deputy Defence minister Josip Juras, Gens.
