SISAK, May 10 (Hina) - Representatives of the Zagreb regional
command of the Croatian army and the UNCRO in former Sector North
today met in Sisak, about 50 km southeast of Zagreb, to discuss
the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 981 and
cooperation between the Croatian army and UN peacekeepers in the
area.
The Croatian army delegation was led by deputy commander
Brigadier Vinko Stefanek while UN officials were headed by the
commander for former Sector North, Brigadier Vladimir Mokrenets
of Ukraine.
Mokrenets stressed that the Croatian army secured the
unobstracted movement of UN personnel and implementation of UN
resolutions in the areas under its control.
The two delegations agreed that they should meet more often
in order to exchange information on the situation on the ground.
