RESOLUTION ON CROATIA TO BE PUT TO VOTE ON WEDNESDAY

WASHINGTON, May 16 (Hina) - The Contact Group submitted yesterday to the UN Security Council a draft resolution on Croatia demanding an immediate withdrawal of both sides in conflict from the separation zones and restraint from their violation. The draft resolution stressed the importance of the establishment of UNCRO authorities in line with the mandate, condemned actions against UN personnel and demanded that their safety be respected. If there are no changes on the ground, the final text of the resolution will be finished today, according to diplomatic sources. The text of the resolution will be put to the vote on Wednesday.
