SARAJEVO, Apr 9 (Hina) - Bosnian Federation Vice-President, Ejup
Ganic, said today the Bosnian Government would not invite former
US President Jimmy Carter for another mediating mission.
"There is no need for Mr. Carter to visit Sarajevo again,"
Ganic said in an interview with Bosnian TV this evening.
"The Contact Group peace plan is quite sufficient for
resolving the crisis, and Mr. Carter's visit would only give an
opportunity to Karadzic to eschew it," Ganic said.
Bosnian Foreign Minister Irfan Ljubijankic today told French
Ambassador Henry Jacolain that Bosnia would not accept a formal
extension of the four-month truce, but neither would it take any
steps that could lead to an escalation of war.
