SARAJEVO, March 2 (Hina) - Representatives of Croat political
parties and a cultural society in Sarajevo, today called for an
accelerated implementation of the constitutional and legal system
of the Croat-Moslem Federation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The call came in a joint statement today from the Sarajevo
branches of the Croatian Democratic Union, (HDZ), the Croatian
Peasants Party (HSS) and the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP), the
"Napredak" cultural society and the Croatian Defence Council (HVO).
Croat political parties said they wanted Sarajevo to remain a
unified city with a new municipal organisation. They opposed any
forced changes to the city's social and national structure.
The statement said it was necessary to stop Croats from
leaving Sarajevo.
They called on the assemblies of the Republic and Federation
of Bosnia-Herzegovina to bring the functions of the Bosnia-
Herzegovina Presidency in line with the Federation's Constitution
as soon as possible to determine its responsibilities, and separate
them from those of the Federation leadership, the statement said.
