SARAJEVO, Feb 1 (Hina) - The "blue routes" to Sarajevo would not be
reopened on Wednesday, as it had been accepted.
Bosnian Minister Hasan Muratovic, charged with relations with
UN Protection Force, last night said that Tuesday's talks with the
Serb side ended without any concrete agreement on reopening the
"blue routes" into the Bosnian capital.
Muratovic added that at the session, held at Sarajevo Airport,
a Serb delegation, led by Momcilo Krajisnik, had demanded 50
percent of all cargo transported along the road between the
Sarajevo suburbs Dobrinja and Butmir, that are under control of the
Bosnian Army. The Serb had set this prerequisite before signing the
agreement.
The Serb delegation agreed to reopening the blue roads only
for international humanitarian agencies, which already use more
secure roads.
At the eight-hour session the Serb delegates refused to sign
an agreement on medical and social evacuation. They requested that
the relocation of civilians on the grounds of such an agreement
should be regarded as the change of their permanent residence, but
this would mean the legalization of the ethnic cleansing, according
to Muratovic.
The talks on the release of prisoners of war and information
on missing persons also failed to yield any concrete results, since
the Serb delegates refused to sign an agreement on this matter
accusing the International Red Cross of aligning with the Bosnian
Government.
