ZAGREB, March 2 (Hina) - The International Committee of the Red
Cross has secured daily hot meals for three thousand people in the
Bihac pocket, an ICRC statement released in Zagreb said today.
The meals are to be prepared by a hotel kitchen and delivered
every morning to distribution points, the ICRC spokeswoman in
Bihac, Suzanne Fiscbach, said.
Since January the ICRC has secured weekly convoys for Bihac
and Velika Kladusa to deliver food, medicines, water and sanitation
supplies.
Meanwhile, a UNHCR convoy with 115 tonnes of humanitarian aid
for Bihac was waiting at the Croatia-Bosnia border for clearance
from renegade Moslem forces which had held it up.
And an empty UNHCR convoy which, had been caught in a
crossfire two days ago between rebel Moslem troops and the Bosnian
Moslem-led government army, was still waiting at UNPROFOR
headquarters in Coralici to sort out its return to Zagreb.
