ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - The European Union Task Force (ECTF), an
executive body of the European Union Humanitarian Office (ECHO) in
the former Yugoslavia, is to open an office in Medjugorje on
Thursday, a statement said.
The Medjugorje office will be of great importance to the ECHO
in its efforts at alleviating the plight of people in Croatia and
Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Through the Medjugorje office, the ECTF will maintain direct
contacts with the EU Administration in Mostar and will be able to
gather information of humanitarian aid supplies entering and
leaving Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The President of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Kresimir Zubak, is expected to make a speech at the opening
ceremony.
