ZAGREB, Feb 15 (Hina) - A joint UNHCR and UNPROFOR relief convoy
left Zagreb this morning with 96 tons of food for the Bihac pocket
of northwestern Bosnia, UNHCR spokeswoman Alemka Lisinski said.
The 20-truck convoy reached a UN check point at Moscenica and
would carry on via Velika Kladusa to its final destination in
Cazin.
Lisinski said rebel Croatian Serb authorities in Knin granted
clearance for the convoy to pass through Serb-held territory.
There are about 150 thousand people dependent on humanitarain
aid supplies in the Bihac enclave which is controlled by the
Bosnian government army and the Croat Defence Council (HVO).
Aid convoys are frequently obstructed by Bosnian and Croatia
Serb forces besieging the enclave.
