ZAGREB, March 2 (Hina) - After several months of negotiations,
labour representatives today finally put their signature to the
Basic National Agreemeent for the business sector and public
companies, which Government and employers' representatives signed
in December.
The unions, employers and Government representatives today
also signed an Annex to the Agreement, which was the condition set
by the unions for signing the Agreement itself.
The Annex, which regulates the salaries and other material
rights of the employees, will be in force until March 31, but can
be extended.
Labour and Welfare Minister Joso Skara, who signed the
agreement on the Government's behalf, called for branch collective
agreements to be signed as soon as possible.
Dragutin Lesar, president of the Federation of Independent
Trade Unions, suggested than talks on the branch agreements begin
next week.
