ZAGREB, March 1 (Hina) - The Croatian Forum has proposed that a
third chamber of the Croatian Parliament be established to secure
better representation of Croatian emigrants.
The Croatian Forum today sent a letter to Parliament speaker
Nedjeljko Mihanovic stressing that once peace was achieved
"conditions would be created for the return of hundreds of
thousands of Croatian emigrant families."
The letter, signed by president Zeljko Olujic, said that
Croatia could count on large sums of money emigrants would return
with.
The Croatian Forum said that the representation of Croatian
emigrants in Parliament and government bodies was insignificant.
A third parliamentary chamber would have between 30 and 40
deputies who were registered in foreign countries and had dual
citizenship.
