SARAJEVO, Feb 28 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb troops suffered significant
set backs during clashes in the past three days at Mt Vlasic near
Travnik, central Bosnia-Herzegovina.
UNHCR spokesman, Kris Janowski, said that 31 Serb soldiers
were killed and five were missing. Meanwhile some 350 civilians
from the three villages in Mount Vlasic were evacuated and bussed
to Skender-Vakuf.
UN spokesman, Herve Gourmelon, said UNPROFOR could not confirm
what actually had happened in Vlasic because they were not allowed
to go there.
UN military observers four days ago reported Bosnian Serb
shell attacks on Travnik and described them as retaliatory attacks
against the Bosnian Army's progress on the ground.
Sarajevo media did not cover recent fighting in Vlasic, but
Serb television last night conceded that it had suffered losses
broadcasting a funeral of the soldiers who were killed.
