SARAJEVO, Feb 24 (Hina) - UN personnel deployed in various parts of
Bosnia-Herzegovina yesterday said they saw several unidentified
helicopters and jets flying around.
Three unidentified aircraft were spotted flying over Tuzla
between 20 and 22 hours yesterday, the UN in Sarajevo said. UN
peace-kreepers actually saw the first of these aircraft but said
they thought they only heard the other two.
Twelve loud blasts were heard in the Tuzla area last night,
but apparently they had nothing to do with the flights because the
blasts happened much later, so Coward says.
More mysterious helicopters were spotted over Zenica and
Jablanica in central Bosnia yesterday and yet another freak plane
was seen over Coralici in western Bosnia.
UNPROFOR could not say anything definite about the aircraft's
identity or destination, Coward said.
We have not received any report from NATO about AWACS having
registered anything, he said.
