SARAJEVO, Feb 13 (Hina) - Bosnian and Croatian rebel Serbs today
launched an artillery attack on the village of Zavalja, in the
northwest Bosnia, UN military observers said. They also reported a
successful counter maneuver in west Bihac by the Bosnian Government
Army.
Bosnian Fifth Corp troops won back some of the territory that
Serbs had gained in the last offensive, despite Serbs continuing to
build up their forces in the area.
UN observers last night recorded 32 trucks and 10 busses
carrying soldiers and crossing the Croatian-Bosnian border near
village of Uzljebic, south of Bihac.
UNPROFOR Spokesman Gary Coward said that the convoy was
carrying at least 900 Bosnian Serb soldiers who were heading to the
Bihac front-line.
UN peacekeepers believed that Bosnian Serbs used Croatian
occupied territories to transport their troops and weapons, because
the Bosanski Petrovac - Ripac route was inconvenient.
Minor clashes were recorded at the Velika Kladusa and Bosanska
Krupa fronts.
