ZAGREB, Feb 14 (Hina) - Zagreb Deputy Mayor, Bozo Biskupic, today
received Dresden Deputy Mayor, Joerg Stuedemann, who is in charge
of culture in the area.
Biskupic thanked Stuedemann for yesterday's Dresden
Philharmonic Orchestra concert at the Zagreb "Vatroslav Lisinski"
centre. Biskupic expressed special gratitude for the message of
peace presented by the German artists to Zagreb and Croatia during
the concert which was held to commemorate the Allied bombing of
Dresden fifty years ago.
Biskupic added that Croatia had its own 'Dresden' tragedy in
Vukovar.
Biskupic handed a letter to his guest from the exiled Vukovar
Museum asking Dresden artists to present a work of art to the
museum.
Dresden Deputy Mayor conveyed the thanks of the German
musicians for last night's atmosphere at Lisinski.
He added that the concert had been filmed by German
television.
The two deputy mayors emphasized the great possibilities of
sports and cultural cooperation between Zagreb and Dresden.
