VITEZ, Feb 1 (Hina) - Bosnian Federation top political and military
officials today met in Kresevo, 30 km west of Sarajevo, to discuss
problems between Croats and Moslems, particularly in the Usora and
Vares areas.
The meeting included the Bosnian Federation President and
Vice-President, Kresimir Zubak and Ejup Ganic, and the commanders
of the Croat Defence Council (HVO) and the Bosnian Army, Gen.
Tihomir Blaskic and Gen. Rasim Dalic.
After the meeting, Zubak and Ganic left for the Croat enclave
of Usora, about 100 km north of Sarajevo, to find the causes of
growing tensions there.
Bosnian Moslem representatives said a road connecting Vares
and Kiseljak would be opened soon. The road is one of the four
"bloue routes" passing through the territory of the Croat-Moslem
Federation.
Both sides expressed determination to overcome all incidents
and prevent new ones from occurring.
Generals Blaskic and Delic agreed that the oprative section of
the joint Croat-Moslem military command be relocated from Sarajevo
to central Bosnia.
The two generals signed a document on promoting military
cooperation between the HVO and the Bosnian Army, according to the
Bosnian Croat news agency Habena.
Blaskic told Croat-run Mostar radio that the talks were
"exceptionally successful." He added that the talks also
concentrated on possible developments in the Federation following
Croatia's decision to cancel UNPROFOR's mandate on its territory.
