MOSTAR, Jan 23 (Hina) - "If Mostar EU Administration officials
continue stressing that the Croat side is to be blamed for the
failure of implementing EU Administration's decisions, I fear, this
will offend people and cause resentment," the mayor of west Mostar
(the part of the city controlled by Bosnian Croats), Mijo
Brajkovic, told Mostar Radio.
Brajkovic said he believed the EU Administration had become
"impatient and wanted to speed up the entire process".
"Moslems, who will use anything and everything, take advantage
of EU accusations against the Croat side," he added.
Brajkovic described as questionable the "diplomatic
skillfulness and efficacy of certain people in the EU
Administration". The Croatian side was not hindering the
implementation of the memorandum on understanding, he said.
