former Soviet Union countries gathered in Zagreb on Monday to
review national strategies for environmental protection. #L#
The congress was staged by the Organisation for Economic
Cooperation and Development (OECD) as part of the "Environment for
Europe" programme.
The participants include some 50 representatives of
environment ministries of central-European and former Soviet Union
countries, as well as OECD, European Union, World Bank and ENRD
representatives.
The congress is to end on Wednesday.
