NATURE PROTECTION COUNSEL HOLDS FIRST SESSION

ZAGREB, Dec 10 (Hina) - A Nature Protection Counsel was on Tuesday constituted as a Croatian government advisory body which would enable a coordinated functioning of state institutions in protecting nature and the environment. The Counsel consists of representatives of the Parliament, ministries, counties, directors of national parks and other experts in the field of environment protection. At its first session chaired by Deputy Premier Ljerka Mintas Hodak, the Counsel discussed the amendments to laws on naming six national parks (Krka, Mljet, Kornati, Plitvicka Jezera, Risnjak and Paklenica).
