OSIJEK, Dec 13 (Hina) - Two explosive devices were thrown at a gas
station in the Baranja village of Draz (UN-administered area) on
Tuesday evening.
The explosive caused heavy damage to the gas station, which
the Croatian Oil Company INA took over a month ago pursuant to the
Basic Agreement on the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian
Danubian area.
According to the Croatian Government Office for the
establishment of Croatian authority in the Danubian area, the
devices exploded at 9 and 9:30 p.m. The crime scene was secured by
the Transitional Police Force.
Since some people in the UN-administered area still opposed
peaceful reintegration, this latest incident only "confirmed the
fact that an increased number of Croatian officers in the
Transitional Police would considerably increase security," the
Office said in a statement.
